At the time Katie and Ethan contacted me about their wedding, they were living and working in Africa, were planning to return to the U.K where Katie was brought up to get married, and would then be moving to Ethan’s home of California in the United States.
Living in Africa meant communication in the lead up to the wedding was by email, until we finally got to meet when Katie and Ethan returned back to the U.K a few days prior to their wedding day.
Their wedding was to be a small intimate affair, and they wanted their wedding photographs to reflect this. They were not concerned about having photos of them getting ready in the morning, or the evening reception, so they asked me to capture their wedding ceremony and drinks reception only.
No two couples are the same, and as often as I photograph full day weddings, I also get to photograph lots of weddings where couples may only want a photographer for a few hours, or to only have a section of their day captured. I offer flexible wedding photography and I don’t restrict the services I offer to only full or half day weddings.
Katie and Ethan chose to hold their wedding ceremony at St Ethaldreda’s Church which sits adjacent to Hatfield House. St Ethaldreada’s is steeped in history which is what drew Katie and Ethan to it, along with its close proximity to Hatfield House where they would host their wedding reception.
