Ville’s family had travelled from Finland for his wedding day. This was a multinational wedding with readings and speeches delivered in Finnish and English to represent the two families.
After the ceremony guests went outside for the drinks reception. Meanwhile Tracey, Ville and I headed to the landscaped gardens for some photos.
The umbrellas that Tracy had purchased ‘just in case’ came in handy as the drinks reception came to an end. Then we all made our way back to The Banqueting Hall for dinner.
What’s the best bit of a wedding to photograph?
I have been asked many times what my favourite part of a wedding day is to photograph. Without hesitation, it’s the dance-floor.
A wedding day can have so many formalities everyone is ready to let loose by the evening reception. Tracey and Ville’s wedding day was in contrast a very relaxed and fun day. So I knew I was in for a treat on the dance-floor in the evening, and the guests did not disappoint. All I needed to do was get ready to capture the action.
Wedding ceremony & reception held at:
The Old Palace, Hatfield House, Herts.
