Pledgdon Barn Wedding Photography
As a wedding photographer in Hertfordshire, I regularly photograph local venues. However, this was my first visit to Pledgdon Barn for wedding photography. Pledgdon Barn is a historic Tudor barn located in the Bishops Stortford countryside, on the Essex/Hertfordshire border.
The barn offers exclusive hire to couples for their wedding day. It hosts only one wedding per weekend, therefore allowing time for the barn to be customized and decorated the day before the wedding.
Pledgdon Barn is surrounded by countryside, and is thereby a great choice for those wanting a bespoke, rural wedding away from the masses.
Emma & James chose St James’ Church, in High Wych for their wedding ceremony. Their families have a long-standing history with the Church going back generations. It was therefore the obvious choice for them to carry on family tradition and marry here.
To begin with, I spent the morning talking all things hair, make up, and also the pitfalls of wedding planning, with Emma, and her Bride Squad at Emma’s home.
I met up with James later in the morning, who was keeping warm and taking care of the pre-wedding nerves with a pint in The Rising Sun pub, conveniently located just a stones’ throw from St James’ Church.
