• The Old Palace Hatfield House Wedding, Hertfordshire

‘Thank you for being so fantastic at our wedding! We had a wonderful day and you were absolutely brilliant’

I love photographing weddings at Hatfield House. As their recommended photographer, I have been fortunate to photograph many weddings there, and I was thrilled to be back for Laura and Tom’s wedding day.

Laura spent the morning getting ready at Beales Hotel in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, just a short drive from Hatfield house.
Beales hotel is a contemporary hotel with modern artwork and sleek designs, and a convenient choice for a local hotel close to Hatfield House.

It is in complete contrast to The Old Palace at Hatfield House, which is stepped in history, and where Laura and Tom chose to hold their wedding ceremony. The Old Palace is a vastly impressive building with its medieval brickwork and high beamed ceiling. You can literally hear the ‘wows’ from guests as they enter the main room.

Following the ceremony guests made their way to the Old Palace gardens for canapes, drinks and garden games. It’s fair to say both dignity and honour were lost between friends over garden polo and bowls.

After the drinks reception guests were invited back into The Old Palace for their wedding breakfast. Food eaten and speeches done, Laura & Tom cut their Alice in Wonderland themed wedding cake (which almost looked too good to eat) and signaled the start of their evening reception, and a great party to end a fantastic day.

Wedding ceremony and reception held at:
The Old Palace, Hatfield House, Herts.

Are you planning your wedding? If so I would love to hear from you.
