South Farm is surrounded by 20 acres of countryside, between the Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire border. The venue offers exclusive hire and has 5 different licensed ceremony options for couples. The Grade II Listed Tudor Barn and The Summer House, are the most popular areas for your ceremony. With additional spaces from the Horse Barn, The Drawing Room, The Old Dairy and The Granary.

SOUTH FARM WEDDINGS

Between March to October most couples choose to exchange vows in The Summer House overlooking the pond. The landscaped gardens come alive during the summer months with lots of colourful flowers surrounding the outdoor space. When you hire the venue you also get some less traditional wedding guests in the form of farm animals. Meeting the animals is part of the South Farm experience, and lots of couples choose to have photos with the piglets.

The beautiful gardens are perfect for drink’s receptions, with South Farm’s home-made ice cream and some lawn games. South Farm’s outdoor spaces are perfect for long Summer and Autumn days. And exclusivity means there is no chance of bumping into another wedding around the grounds.

SOUTH FARM ECO FRIENDLY VALUES

Another reason South Farm is set apart from other barn venue’s is its commitment towards sustainability and conservation. The indigenous hardwood trees, wildflower meadows and reservoir create an environment full of wildlife (and provide great backdrops for photos!) Your guests can watch the dragonflies, bee’s, and butterflies busily going about their business during the garden drinks reception.

South Farm is still used as a working farmhouse. With its own home-grown organic produce which is used throughout the venues menu choices. And their own organic smallholding supply nearly all of the vegetables, herbs, fruits, eggs and also pork.

South Farms accomodation (including Romany Wagons) sleeps up to 24 wedding guests in total, with local B&B’s just down the road for your other guests.
