Sandon Manor is a new wedding venue in Hertfordshire. Located in Buntingford Hertfordshire & surrounded by rolling countryside. Having recently opened, Holly & Tom’s wedding was my first booking at this venue. And it did not disappoint.
SANDON MANOR WEDDING VENUE
Sandon Manor consists of the Medieval Barn, East Wing Ceremony Hall, and Hay Barn surrounding a central courtyard. Each space holds up to 150 people, and weddings have exclusive use of the whole venue. The venue hosts only one wedding per weekend, which is a welcome change to many wedding venues.
On-site accommodation at a wedding venue is understandably a big selling point for many couples. Sandon Manor offer two properties for exclusive rental (individually or together) for your wedding. The Manor House sleeps 18 people across 7 bedrooms. And Dovecote is a beautiful boutique refurbished bolthole for two, perfect for your wedding night.
SUMMER WEDDING AT SANDON MANOR
Back to Holly & Tom’s wedding, where I first caught up with the girls for morning preparations in the Manor House. I love capturing the morning buzz of getting ready, and spending time getting to know the Bridal party.
Then, after a few pictures of guests arriving and Tom starting to look nervous, we made our way to the East Wing Ceremony Hall.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed the drinks reception in the courtyard whilst dodging the August showers. Unfortunately, August weddings do not guarantee summer sunshine. And we had a real mixed bag of weather on the day.
However, although I cannot guarantee your weather, I can guarantee I have experience of pretty much every weather condition at a wedding. And I am always ready if there is even a sniff of a break in the clouds to get back outside. Let me do the weather watching, while you enjoy your day. Tom & Holly’s wedding was no exception and we made the most of every dry spell.
“We are so glad we chose Zoë as our photographer, both our formal & candid shots throughout the day are stunning, Nothing was too much”
SANDON MANOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
The rustic chic of Medieval Barn was host the wedding breakfast with Cambridge Dining Company providing the food and drink for the day. The Groom’s speech ended in a toast of shots rather than champagne, which some guests found more palatable than others!
My persistent sky-watching rewarded us with a stunning sunset which we took full advantage of. Then it was back to the reception where I took my life into my own hands photographing the incredible dancefloor moves. I could easily have a whole wedding gallery of just the dancefloor that night! Thank you to all the amazing guests who made that dancefloor so much fun to photograph.
So, in summary, I have my Sandon Manor cherry popped with the most fantastic wedding! And I look forward to photographing many more weddings at this beautiful new venue.
Wedding photography for couples who hate having their photo taken!
If I had £1 for every couple who tells me they hate having their photo taken, I would be a very rich person by now. Tom & Holly were no exception. However, the way I approach and photograph your wedding will make it all feel much more natural than you think it will. Just check out the gallery below as evidence……
“Zoë was so helpful getting us comfortable in front of the camera & gave us great advice throughout”
