The Barn at Alswick in Buntingford, Hertfordshire is a relatively new Hertfordshire wedding venue. Launched in 2017, the barn offers all the charm of a rustic wedding venue. The interior with its vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. And of course, the location, being surrounded by Hertfordshire countryside.

I first met Bronwyn & her family in 2012 when I photographed her sisters wedding. Little did I know then that I would go on to photograph all 4 sisters’ weddings over the next 10 years.

In that time I have seen the sisters grow, have families of their own and the little ones I met at the very first wedding are now all grown up themselves. It has been an absolute privilege to be asked back into their lives each time to photograph such a special day for them.

On the morning of their wedding, I was back at Bronwyn’s family home to photograph all the girls getting ready one more time. Before meeting the boys at the Barn at The Barn at Alswick for the final touches in the dressing room. The Barn is a blank canvas and Bronwyn & Dean’s décor went for a touch of class, with fairy lights, muted tones and honouring past family members

Adding to this special wedding due to my long-standing family connection, was the chance to work alongside some of my favourite (and most worked with) wedding suppliers.

Natalie Sharman has been a fabulous make-up & hair artist & for many of my brides over the years including Bronwyn’s sisters.

I regularly photograph beautiful floral bouquets from Lamberts Flower Company at my weddings. And once again they didn’t disappoint with stunning bouquets and floral displays throughout the venue.

And finally it was great to photograph Steve Rowe Magician quite literally creating magic by entertaining & baffling the guests.

After the vows it was outside in the October sunshine for the reception & photos. After a few formal photos I took the couple off to the private gardens to grad some relaxed photos of just the two of them alone.

Sunsets are my most requested photo from couples. And whilst I cannot guarantee clear skies or a sunset on your wedding day, I can guarantee I will be watching the sky like a hawk for any hint of one

Bronwyn & Deans’s wedding was no exception. Come October the window of opportunity to capture sunset photos is minutes.

This came right in the middle of Brownyn & Dean’s wedding breakfast., They decided it was too good to miss, and I’m so glad they did! The sunset may have been fleeting but we got it, and they quickly got back to their guests.. and their puddings.

The cake cut supplied by the incredible & very sought-after Baby Bear Bakery signalled party time. Having photographed. Having photographed 3 wedding receptions from the family in the past I knew they could party & I was going to be in for a treat of dancing photos.

LondonsDJ packed out the dancefloor with bongo drums and sax accompanying the beats.

I left with the party in full swing, ears ringing and a heart full to the brim.
