Hertfordshire Countryside Tipi Wedding

“You captured every emotion.”

HERTFORDSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

To plan a wedding Tipi wedding in the Hertfordshire countryside, in the middle of a field, weather-watching is a necessary consequence.
As a wedding photographer I have attended many rainy Summer weddings. No month guarantees to be dry with the Great British weather.

Danielle and Chris showed nerves of steel with a changing weather report each day. With daily rain in the lead up to their wedding day, contingency plans put in place to stop their Hertfordshire field from turning into a muddy bog.

Summer did show up on the day (however it kept us guessing right up to the last-minute). And most importantly with a dry ground the highest of heels remained intact and un-sunk.

Danielle spent her wedding morning at her family home getting ready with her Bridesmaids. The girls did well at keeping their make-up from running as a result of Chris surprising them with an emotional video to open.

TIPI WEDDING IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

Danielle and Chris’s held their wedding ceremony at Ayot St Peter’s Church in Hertfordshire. Tucked away down winding countryside lanes, but most importantly only a short drive from the wedding reception location.

I always visit the venues prior to a wedding day, so I can scope great locations for wedding photos. As a Hertfordshire Photographer I know most wedding venues very well, but this time I found myself in a new venue, namely in the middle of a field.

I came across hay fields that I knew would look great in the couple’s photos if they hadn’t been cut back by the wedding day. The plan was to incorporate as much of the Hertfordshire countryside as we could into their pictures, as it was so integral to their wedding theme.

Their wedding day had a laid-back informal feel. For example, the wedding breakfast was a carvery roast, served by a willing volunteer from each table. Guests enjoyed lit fire pits, sparklers, champagne, and an amazing firework display to kick off the evening reception.

In summary, if you are looking for a bespoke wedding venue, sometimes you just need a field and a dry day.
