“I wish I could give Zoë a higher than 5-star review, she was absolutely amazing, calmed me down within minutes of arriving at my house. Zoë knew exactly what she was doing and what photos I would want. Zoë was on top of everything which just made our day feel effortless. I’ve had so many people message me to say how great she was”
tHE riding school wedding venue
The Riding School wedding venue in Hertfordshire is a modern alternative to The Old Palace, both in the stunning grounds of Hatfield House. Hatfield House is one of my favourite Hertfordshire wedding venues, and I adore photographing weddings within these beautiful grounds.
Usually I meet or have telephone conversations with the couple in the lead up to their wedding day. It’s a chance for me to get to know them as much as possible before their big day.
Kirsty and Toby booked me as their photographer only a short time prior to their wedding day. And because they were both very busy with work and planning, it wasn’t possible to catch up prior to their wedding day.
So the first time I got to meet my couple was on their wedding day.
Kirsty and Toby are the most chilled out couple. They were happy to let their day unfold naturally and just go with the flow.
As a female wedding photographer, of course I get caught up in the day, the details, the bling, and the dress. And what a dress it was, a fairytale complete with side pockets, what more could a Bride want?
ST ETHALDREDAS CHURCH OLD HATFIELD
The couple chose to marry in the historic St Ethaldreda’s Church in Old Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
St Ethaldreda’s Church is a stone’s throw from Hatfield House, making it a perfect choice for couples wanting a church service, and their wedding reception at Hatfield House.
Following the service formal family photos were taken within the grounds of St Ethaldreda’s Church, whilst guests took the short stroll to Hatfield House.
RIDING SCHOOL HATFIELD HOUSE
Their wedding reception was held in The Riding School, in Hatfield House’s Stable Yard Courtyard. The Riding School is an alternative wedding venue with a modern feel within the grounds of Hatfield House. It is a light bright alternative to The Old Palace with its glass roof, original wooden beams and crisp white walls.
After the wedding breakfast the guests enjoyed the last of the summer sun in The Stable Yard grounds before returning back to The Riding School for the evening reception.
I am always looking forward to capturing the moves on any reception dancefloor, and this wedding was no exception.
After a fantastic first dance which was quite literally swung into action by the groom. Led on by the groom and his best man’s breakdancing routine, the guests packed the dance-floor. The perfect end to such a fun, relaxed wedding day.
