SUMMER WEDDING AT HATFIELD HOUSE WEDDING VENUE

Charlotte and Nick’s summer wedding at St Ethaldredas Church and Hatfield House was classic glamour.

Firstly the venue, The Old Palace at Hatfield House has the wow factor. The Banquetting Hall is the very space where Elizabeth I held her Council of State meetings when she was Queen of England. It is now one of the grandest buildings in Hertfordshire to host your wedding reception.

Secondly, the outfits. Charlotte’s stunning beaded dress and the Groomsmen in tails, set the tone for their wedding.

And finally, transport came in the form of a horse-drawn carriage.

ST ETHALDREDAS CHURCH IN HATFIED

Charlotte and Nick’s summer wedding ceremony was held at St Ethaldreda’s Church. Which is conveniently just a few steps from The Old Palace at Hatfield House.

Dating back to the 13th century, St Ethaldreada’s Church is also full of history. It is a perfect choice for couples who wish to have a religious wedding service, with their wedding reception at Hatfield House.

SUMMER WEDDING AT THE OLD PALACE, HATFIELD HOUSE

After the ceremony, guests made their way to The Old Palace’s Knot Gardens for the drink reception in the blazing sunshine.

During the reception, Charlotte and Nick took a little time alone to enjoy the beautiful grounds of Hatfield House in their horse-drawn carriage.

Afterwards, we had a little quiet time around the formal gardens for photos of just the two of them.

I love taking my couples off for photos during the drinks reception. A few moments alone is the perfect contrast to the buzz of the wedding and a chance for them to take it all in. Finally, it was back to The Old Palace ready for the wedding breakfast, and speeches.

Live bands are always guaranteed to kick off an evening reception and get the guests up dancing. I had a blast photographing the dancefloor.

Brides are often seen with their bouquets, however in my opinion every bride should have a tambourine.
