There’s no getting away from it – weddings are expensive. And when you have a strict budget, options can sometimes appear limited. However, with imagination and a great vision, you can create the wow factor in any venue.
BUDGET WEDDINGS IN HERTFORDSHIRE
This was the case for Natalie and James, who wanted a local laid-back wedding to suit their budget. But still for it to feel really special as a wedding day should.
They chose to hold their ceremony at the registry office at County Hall, Hertford in Hertfordshire.

Tewin Village Hall Wedding Reception
Their wedding reception was held at the local memorial hall within the quaint, sought after village of Tewin.
Tewin village is located between the towns of Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage in Hertfordshire. It dates back to the Saxon times, but now is very much a popular village with commuters, given its strong community feel and easy links into London.
Tewin Village Memorial Hall was completely transformed for Natalie and James wedding reception, with the clever use of lighting and decoration.
Natalie had spent a lot of effort and research to get the venue just right and her Bridesmaids did a fantastic job laying out the afternoon tea ready for the guest’s arrival. Guests enjoyed a celebratory drink at the village pub The Rose & Crown, before making their way to the village hall to sit down to their afternoon tea themed reception.
Tewin village green was a great location for some time out with Natalie and James and not forgetting their beloved dog, who made a good attempt at stealing the limelight from the Bride.
Their wedding is testament to how you can achieve a wedding day completely personal to you. Without needing to adhere to packages or set plans that most venues offer.
