Editorial Photography in Welwyn Garden City

I have had the pleasure previously of photographing for the editorial for the To|morrow magazine for their Autumn/Winter edition, so was thrilled when they asked me to return to shoot for their Spring/Summer edition.

As with any press print, we knew production times were tight. And we only had a small window from the planned shoot to the magazine being published and distributed to approximately 60,000 homes within Welwyn Garden City and the surrounding areas.

Shooting outside always comes with its challenges. And in the Great British fashion on the the day of the shoot typically the weather wasn’t playing ball. Our intended vision of spring/summer with bright sunshine and vibrant colours was a little more ‘grey clouds and occasional bright burst’. This made lighting conditions and keeping images consistent quite a challenge as with every set up one minute the sun came out, and the next it looked like it may rain.

We had two superb models in G & Harrison (our mini model Harrison being the most patient, funniest and full of charm, only occasionally requiring popcorn as posing bribery. The team that day were fantastic, busily restyling as we moved from each location.
