Wedding Photography Hertfordshire
By the time Emma and Jaz’s wedding at Hatfield House had arrived, they were already very used to the grandeur of a wedding day.
Emma and Jaz had already enjoyed two formal wedding days in honour of both family heritages. The first a traditional Sri Lankan wedding, and secondly with the traditions of an English wedding at Osborne House, on the Isle of Wight. Their third and final wedding celebrations would be in The Old Palace at Hatfield House.
After already enjoying two traditional ceremonies, Emma & Jaz understandably wanted this celebration to be less formal. Their 300 guests were invited to a drinks reception in the gardens of The Old Palace. Following this was a three-course dinner in The Old Palace’s Banqueting Hall and an evening of partying.
My brief was to document the informality of the day. Guests mingling, the array of colour, the laughter and the fun.
After the food and speeches, they cut their third (and final) wedding cake to kick off the evening reception. Their first dance was the only time that night the dancefloor had just two people on it.
The dancefloor is my favourite part of a wedding to photograph. It is the point that all formalities are over and everyone gets to let loose. I, like many of their guests, did not want the party to end.
Thank you Emma & Jaz for having me as your photographer for this fantastic celebration of love.
